[ Year in Review - 2007 ]

Finally... time for some updates! 2007 had just flashed past and i shall now do a year in review!

2007 had been a wonderful year for me, even though most of it is spent on my academics. I managed to survive through the first 1 1/2 years of my university life. =) In between time spent on my books.. yes.. don't call me nerd... i've also managed to balance my life by having meet up sessions with my secondary school friends, JC friends, soccer mates, NS colleagues, university friends and many more.

Now for some highlight of the year. Firstly, i've gotten a nice girlfriend. haha.. in case you still dunno, her name is Linda and i got to know her when i went for an exchange program to Hong Kong. The exchange program lasted 6 weeks whereby i studied at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Thinking back, it was really an enriching experience and i got to travel to many places including shen zhen (whereby summer brought me to eat cheap and big oysters) and Macau (whereby my sing dollars is still with their casino!). Ate so much food.. ( from egg tarts to dim sum to wife's biscuits.. i can't finish naming them!) I also got to know quite a few nice people during the exchange program. =)

During the year, i had also done some temp job at Emerson Process Management, whereby i was hired as a technician. hah.. i can't imagine myself being a technician. Luckily, i met my nice female boss who asked me to be her personal assistant instead. Through the job, i again met many nice people and made many good friends. Good contacts that should help my brother get a job if needed.

I also gave many tuitions throughout the year to maintain my upkeep. Tuitees in my list includes korean, taiwanese, thai and locals. Because of the language problem, Foreigners are usually harder to teach despite the good pay. I shall just try my best and teach whatever i can.

Recently, i also went to bangkok with my dearest girlfriend. Bangkok has always been one of my favourite holiday destination (cheap shopping with good food!... especially the mango sticky rice) =) However, due to the roadside stall embargo and the rubbish pricing of the items (from the t-shirts to the tuk-tuk) i don't think i will be heading back there anytime soon. Time to try out new and unexplored places!

I also went for a few JB trips with the soccer guys whereby we eat to our fill at very low cost. =) A 10 course dinner with many seafood items will cost us about $10 each at Teck Sin. Rumours of JB being unsafe, in my opinion, is slightly exaggerated. If one is careful enough, i don't think he/she will be easy meat for the robblers. So, just need to be careful in there!

That's about it from me about 2007. Generally, it had been a great year! Hope 2008 will be even better. We shall wait and see... the best is yet to be.

[ Time... hard pressed for it. ]

Had you ever asked yourself if you would prefer a life whereby you had loads of free time for slacking, relaxing or a life that would be stress-filled and constantly being devoid of time to finish up all the tasks that you need to complete?

Thought of this as i am facing a situation whereby i am so devoid of time, be it to improve the quality of my work output or for accomplishment of my own personal tasks. Life now had been filled with endless tasks awaiting me to complete but yet so little time given.

In life, whenever i have the time to slack and relax, i will feel that progression is lacking in my life and thus will try means and ways to try and find tasks that can make me more "accomplished". Resulting in me facing a lack of time to do more things!

But whenever i am busy with endless tasks and devoid of time, like the situation that i am facing now, i would be green with envy on those friends of mine that can lead a more relaxing life relatively to mine whereby everything would move at such slow pace, including getting at least 8 hours of sleep per day!

I guess The Grass Is Always Greener On The Other Side.
Lets get on with life!!

Not going on too well.. Rating on life now is 6/10.

[ Dilemma ]

heh.. long time since i last blogged.

So far, 2006 had been quite a smooth sailing year for me. Had been having loads of fun for the first 2 months of the year. For the 1st 2 months of the year, i attended a few parties, went for loads of outings , had a wonderful CNY (with loads of food) and also a hectic overseas trip to Bangkok. Hope the fun continues from here! =)

Its less than a month before i will complete my fulltime National Service (26th March 06)... Suddenly, i find myself with a lot of things to ponder about. For example, thinking about what is going to happen to me after my NS and thinking of what jobs to take up after i ORD. My biggest headache lies from an unreolved issue from 2 years back, that is, which university course i am going to take up.

Super indecisive me.

Below are the course evaluation for the 2 shortlisted courses:

Accountancy:
Advantage: 3 years direct honors
Good career prospect
Disadvantage: Unknown ( I don't seem to be too interested in business stuff and i dont seem to understand them)

Chem Engine:
Advantage: Most of the modules taught are familiar to me (eg. maths physics and chem) and i am think i sort of like these subjects
Disadvantage: 4 years course meaning i will be in more debt
Biology module is involved and i am not proficient in Biology

Of course, Accountancy has another plus point. It has more girls!!.. haa.. but this will not be part of my decision making for the course that i want to go for. So far, 2 of my frens had suggested for me to take chem engine becoz they feel i will be more suitable for it. Another 2 frens had suggested accountancy because of the good career prospect. Dilemma. Please help to leave something on the tag board to give ur opinion on which courses i should be taking up.

Hope could get some valuable advice from you guys. National Service is finishing... gotta get out of my comfort zone soon.. gonna step into another unknown soon. Wish me best of luck. I gonna miss the good people around me in my office for the past 2 years. Really will miss the times we had together and muz thank them for taking care of me fer the past 2 years..

[ 2006 ]

2005 has passed.

Had a wonderful end to 2005.
Spent Christmas with a bunch of fun-loving sec sch mates,
got my driving license on 30th Dec, with much luck i suppose... &
a wonderful end to the year with a chalet with my friends and colleagues at Pasir Ris.

A new year has finally arrived.

Somehow, I am really looking forward to 2006.

I've got a feeling that this would be an exciting year for me!

Hope the same goes for you guys out there!

[ updates!!... finally..haha.. lazy me.. =) ]

finally managed to pull myself out of the couch and type in some updates on my blog.. guess spider webs will start to appear soon if i still persist in being lazy..

hmm.. last post was on 18th Oct.. so many things happened between then and now.. besides being flooded with tons and tons of work, the following are the more "happening" events that took place..

Firstly, we celebrated yieping's 17th birthday birthday at nydc ... haa.. hope she will not be as blur and finally be able to answer questions with proper responses instead of just "i dunno" and "huh".. haha..

Then, it was my turn to celebrate!.. haa.. must thank all my friends for wishing me happy birthday and also celebrating birthday with me.. the Crystal Jade dinner, Pizza dinner, the Fish & Co dinner and the Korean Restaurant dinner( even though this seems like eating korean maggie mee to me.. haa!) felt a bit weird as i dun usually celebrate birthday one.. haa.. but really really appreciate all my frens had done.. like the presents received too...thanks thanks! =)

In between those celebrations i also had a few family outings and chalets that really occupied a lot of my time!.. found out that i was really getting old as i got nothing much in common to do with my cousins at the chalet..haa.. spent the whole day at chalet watching vcd with my dad.. all local production somemore... cmi..

driving test is coming up soon.. 30th december.. lack the confidence to do well.. wish me luck pals!.. Life is really so eventful now..too many things to do, too little time and too little money... work never seems to be able to finish..

will be going to treetop walk tomorrow with my sec sch pals...hope serene dun be late again.. haa... actually i can feel pain in my leg.. guess i injured it again.. together with my knee too... sighz.. but dont wanna back out on activities with them again...haa.. hopefully can survive the 10 km! =)

there are really too many things to type in but think i shall stop here.. will update again when i can! take care guys!

looking foward to:
1) Shopping trip next week
2) Class outing on 16/17 Dec
3) Family outing on 18th Dec
4) Christmas party on 24th Dec
